Mother’s Day Mini Sessions are some of the most meaningful sessions I offer all year, and if I am being honest, they are deeply personal for me too.
Moms are almost never in the photos.
We are the ones holding the baby, wiping faces, fixing collars, adjusting bows, and making sure everyone else looks perfect. We are the memory keepers. The documenters. The ones snapping quick phone photos of our kids with their dad. But when we scroll back through our camera roll, we realize something is missing.
Us.
I know this well because I am that mom. I have four kids. Four busy, beautiful, energetic kids. Getting all of them dressed and coordinated is a production in itself. Add in my own hair and makeup, and it can feel overwhelming before we even walk out the door.
And when I try to hand off my camera?
I love my husband. He is wonderful and skilled at 99 percent of the things he does. But taking my picture is not one of them. It is always the wrong angle. The lighting is off. Somehow it highlights every feature I do not want emphasized. And then I find myself feeling disappointed instead of grateful.
So I made a decision for myself a long time ago.
If I want photos done, I am going to do them right.
When I want beautiful images with my children, I hire someone. Because I want to feel confident. I want to look back at those photos years from now and remember the love, not the stress. And that is exactly why I offer Mother’s Day Mini Sessions in my Medina studio.

These are quick 15 minute mini sessions, created with busy families in mind. You do not need to commit to a full session to get beautiful, timeless portraits with your children. In just a short amount of time, we will capture genuine smiles, soft snuggles, and natural connection.
My Mother’s Day set features elegant floral arches and a classic backdrop designed to feel light, soft, and timeless. The styling keeps the focus where it belongs. On you and your babies.
Because these are minis, the experience is simple and streamlined. You arrive ready, we move efficiently, and I guide you through flattering poses so you never have to wonder what to do. Even with multiple children, we keep it relaxed and fun so everyone leaves smiling.

I am also encouraging families to bring their own moms.
There is something incredibly powerful about multi generational portraits. Grandma with her daughter. Grandma with her grandbabies. Three generations together in one frame.
This past week alone has been a reminder of how fragile life is. I had a friend pass away, and two of my close friends have lost a grandparent and a dad within the past year. In the middle of grief, photographs become priceless.
I am so thankful I captured family photos for them when I did. They now have tangible memories to look back on. Their children will grow up seeing the way their grandparent smiled at them and held them close.
We never regret taking the photo. We only regret waiting.

One day your children will look for photos of you.
They will not care about the things you are self conscious about. They will see their mom. The way you held them. The way you laughed. The way you showed up over and over again.
These Mother’s Day Mini Sessions in Medina, Ohio are about making sure you are in the frame. They are about celebrating the women who hold everything together. They are about preserving this season before it quietly passes.
As a photographer serving Medina and families throughout Northeast Ohio and the Cleveland area, I have intentionally created these minis to be beautiful, efficient, and meaningful.
